Muskett,

Throw us a picture of rubby emitter so we can all see please. It should be quite different from 4715as.

They look identical, to the point I'm going to have to label them.
Ask Clive how he did it.

Final summary from tonight having had a play, and a whole lot less wind.

All using my Sidewinder 4-16 x50 with 30mm tube, side parallax.
Its seems to me:
My NM800 with BlacksSun does everything I need to .17HMR ranges, shed loads of eveything.
The Ruby takes the NM800 to what a Xsearcher does with a BlackSun.
A NM800 with Ruby or XSearcher with a BlackSun gets to my gate at 280m but is more comfortable at x8. At x16 then happier at 240m.
The Ruby in the XSearcher get to the gate comfortably at x16.

On top of it all there is oodles of backstop and far off eyeshine. The above is overlooking a large set aside grass field.

By pure chance a fox popped out at the gate. I was playing and only had the empty .22. But given a stable position and a well zeroed fox rifle I felt that at 280m a shot could have been on especially that the full x16 magnification could be deployed. So my Sidewinder, WDVS and Ruby XSearcher is potentially a 300m fox capable combination.
It was a pretty good night atmospherics wise, and as every scope combination is a little different I have no idea if anyone else will exactly replicate my findings. I should think pretty close. Have fun.

Hi All

I have ordered a Sunnranger Ruby, upgrade from the Sunnranger Blacksun2, I am using a tubed gen 2+ rear add-on Cobra Titan.
Anyone know if I will see an increase in performance? not sure if the tubed add-on will benefit like digital apparently does.

I think the die looks fractionally smaller if you look hard but there's not much in it, and I'm not sure if it has a smaller footprint or just the die. If in doubt you'll see the glow if you shine it at a nearby wall or whatever - or possibly the reflection from the rear of your sound mode with the naked eye.

A dab of paint on the rear of the pill might be handy to identify it. I think its going to be a winner for quarry that feels safer at long distances on full power and most people will use the lower power settings much more frequently.

I see the BS Ruby is designed for 1 battery, i.e. 4.2v max.
So there is no on board regulator I assume.

Does anyone know if a 2 battery version will become available?
My DIY system used 8.4v for everything.

Thanks
Ray

Hmm... One real and original capacity battery(that is very important to know, don't buy China crapyfire xxx batteries) like samsung inr 18650 30Q should last you 2 hours on high mode, 4 hours on middle mode and 6-8 hours on low mode...

So how hard is to switch to other cell once when it runs out after 2 hours on high mode? It will take whole 5 seconds of your life.
