How old is the X-Sight (red/black buttons - fine/coarse thread on the lens) and how "aligned" is the mount to the axis of the bore & sight? As you can gather, I've been following the thread on the Texas Hunting Forum :D

Interested to know why you prefer the 3-12 over the 5-18
