Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

Dave, The functions you've found sound virtually the same as on the cores I bought a few years back and am still using today. I think this is how it goes: The pad marked C is the common for all 4 switch functions. i.e one terminal of each of the 4 switches will be connected to C and the other termi...

Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

Well done Dave your certainly having a go mate,I'm sure you will crack it  Geoff Persevering. If Bruce is replying to my last post I have now edited my last to reflect I swapped cable 2 and the - tab as that seems to produce some of the menu options. BTW the image remains almost ...

Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

Bless. I'm going to have to confess I'm out of my depth on the menu/joystick (js) without a specific wiring diagram. I've connected gnd to the js and cable from the minus tab to the right function just because it moves it to the next option right. I have cable 2 to the centre which sometim...

Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

After a busy day slabbing and aching all over with growing pains I kid you not. We have a barely warm kettle in the kitchen. Will get to try the menu wiring next. https://youtu.be/3EUvPEvUAoE Question for Bruce - the FPV transmitter has audio in - Could you find me a decent suitable mic on eb...

Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

the core mount is used to mount lens onto core. the lens mount is made of two components that screw apart. yuo can then sandwich the enclosure between these parts hence mounting the core to lens and core to enclosure. Thanks for that Peter, I'm trying to get my head around this. The enclosure I pla...

Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

Dave, I'm not sure if it's just up/down/left/right. I'm pretty sure that connecting the M pad to 0V will bring up some sort of menu and that the +and - buttons will change the values of items within the menu I don't see a shutter in front of the core, which means that you don't have to worry about ...

Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

Dave, there is a track coming from the M tab that looks like it goes to the header that the connector plugs into. Maybe check with the multimeter to see if it does. Cheers Bruce Kinnel Bruce yer right again - it goes to number two terminal/wire - dunno how I missed it earlier. :o EDIT: I assumed th...

Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

Making progress on wiring identities and grouping them into their duties that helps my tiny mind - as does the use of the inline DC plugs and sockets. :angel - just happens to tie in with using a plug and play Elwire battery pack which don't have switches. Can't find continuity between any w...

Re: Thermal imaging core DIY thermal build

Thanks for that Bruce, that would be a well cool location for fixing a joystick. I just checked my emails and received this this afternoon: Hi Dave, Please find attached the wiring that I am using Apparently the second yellow is video for a DVR. https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/Dave-G...
