Re: New to the group

With 12mm the day scope FOV and magnification would be not affected so if 12x is enough for longer ranges you get to enjoy larger FOV at short ranges.

Re: New member from North Wales

Problem with Photons is the main tube to front unit attachment, it's quite delicate if you knock it the front unit "looks to other direction" and thus zero changes (there's no parts in the main tube affecting this, but because main tube aligns the device to the rifle the zero shift occurs). More so ...

Re: New member from North Wales

Welcome! Regarding Photon performance, usually I'd recommend VCSEL type torch but you mentioned airguns so if you're shooting short distance the integrated IR might be sufficient or even better. Maybe try to get hold of some different torches to try, or ask a question in Illumination section what pe...

Re: New member :)

I use Yukon Sightline. The hardware in Digisight/Digex is not so different that it would explain why one person experiences no white-out and other finds so bad white-out that the product is almost unusable. Pulsar does have more refined software, there's advanced algorithms like Sumlight, they might...

Re: Blaser R8 PARD 008 Mount

5. SGC gives Trading Standars a model that has specifically weaker IR output (this would be technically the same as Bruce's 1. but would save face at TS since they can present a special UK model that has been approved with them)

Re: New member :)

Welcome! I would go with 940nm Wraith from Ludicrous Lumens, but members are reporting white-out with Digisight/Digex even with the high adjustablity of Wraith. Either Digisight/Digex is that much more sensitive than Yukon Sightline (doubt it HW-wise, maybe something SW-wise) or we're using it diffe...

Re: LE-032 RANGEFINDER

You need to mount the LRF far enough that you can read the display (focus your eyes). It doesn't matter if it's hidden when viewing through scope, since you can start and freeze the scanning with remote. It's helpful to look through the NV scope when scanning, since LE-032 mount is not the best and ...

Re: 11mm extension for pard007

Or are you talking about moving the dayscope forward and Pard along with it? Some people have done this with dedicated rigs (you get variable magnification and larger FOV using NV007 and suitable scope). In this case, please describe which rifle, rail/bases/rings and what scope do you have.

Re: Night shooting

Quick release rings and move the 008 between the two rifles maybe. NV008 uses it's own picatinny/weaver style mount. I say "style" because there's been problems with it. Kevgun is in the process of making better mount with built-in adjustability (to get the reticle centered). Anyway you need picati...

Re: Night shooting

Taking the price of digitalnightstalker offering in account, it's either very good value or based on lesser camera than E700 (the norm for add-on builds, good price/performance). Boosting the IR performance with new VCSEL torches and using scopes with parallax down to 10y will get you there but the ...
