Forum acting up (database?)

Hi, just noticed that in addition to forum being slow there might be some database problems or such. Eg. the following thread shows one reply (from Bruce) at the subforum level: https://nightvisionforumuk.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=25526 But when you open the thread there's only the original post. Of ...

Re: Trigger stick/ rests

Regarding the left/right vs. fore/aft wobble, I've found the leg position should be adjusted to the type of support. Spreading your legs fore/aft (like taking a step) is best for quad sticks and more left/right spread for tripod. And if you're not able to get enough support from tripod/bipod in stan...

Re: Mini magnum

Wasn't going to post, but hey ho... Ian has very very rose tinted glasses regarding products he sells. He seems to test a lot of gear and only sell what he selects out (based on performance, value, support... don't know if profit was also criteria) But after that he's pushing them very aggressively....

Re: Easy to see

Yes, using torches is more flexible but using mains power units otherwise better. They're made for CCTV cameras and such. You might want to play with installation height to create shadows, since they're many times easier to spot than animals. Also if you're out with centerfire and buddy, in bad cond...

Re: Job done

And if you send a unit back to UK for servicing etc. you should probably make some kind of declaration to your home country customs, so you won't have to pay the VAT again when it comes back. There might also be some local limit for smallest amount of VAT that's charged. Currently in Finland it's 5 ...

Re: Red is easy

Only thing if possible, would do like on a couple of other forums , is the way you upload photos , instead of a 3rd party just upload direct off my phone via an upload link .... Previously photos were uploaded to the forum server, problem with that is the required disk space and bandwidth. If image...

Re: Posting pictures on the forum made easy

No I didn't look at the pictures posted just went to Postimage website. It was a general remark, I'm grown somewhat sensitive to privacy matters (especially computer related) through work.

Re: Posting pictures on the forum made easy

There's some issues users should know about. Postimages.org claims they will keep the pictures online forever, which is a good thing (forum posts don't lose images) and bad thing (anybody having the link can access the image, no forum login required). Also I think the pictures uploaded by this proce...
