Re: Pulsar n450 vs ENV 10

The shooting position is much better than with any add-on, but you will almost certainly need something to raise the comb so that you can get a good cheek weld. I use a short piece of foam pipe lagging sliced lengthwise and held in place with tape - works perfect!! OK, you spot with thermal, so the ...

Re: Pulsar n450 vs ENV 10

How do you spot potential targets in your 30-200 meter shooting "window"? Thermal, digital NV spotter, tubed NV spotter, lamp? The reason I ask is because I find it hard to believe your nights shooting is governed by by the 2 hour run time of the 008 battery when the IR is on full power. We spend mu...

Re: Pulsar n450 vs ENV 10

At 100 yards, the FOV on the Pulsar is 32.7 feet and on the 008 at 100 yards it's 18.7 feet so the Pulsar has a significantly wider field of view but thinking about your present set up, the Ward adds about x1.7 to your scope magnification so your overall magnification with the Ward on your scope is ...

Re: Daystate MVT .22 forsale

Don't think that H2S line will be anywhere near your permission for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time - and probably never.
Best of luck with the sale - If I had a slot for FAC air on my ticket, I'd have that off you in a flash.

Cheers

Re: where to start ?

ATN X Sight should be the best with its 4K sensor, but in practice it's a big heavy lump, with poor NV performance, features that are heavily advertised, but don't work reliably and saddled with ATNs dire reputation for back up and service - personally, I would n't touch it with a bargepole, but som...

Re: Newbie. Which spotter

I wouldn't say the Sirius is overkill, it produces the most evenly illuminated area of the 3 recommended IR illuminators.

Re: where to start ?

If your delta titanium has side parallax down to less than 20 yards, then the PARD NV007 would be, by far, your cheapest option, and will perform very well. Matiff is right that the extra length of the add-on doesn't give the most comfortable shooting position, but most people get used to it and put...

Re: Newbie. Which spotter

You would be able to see a deer at 500+ yards and a fox or an owl a few yards away, if you know what you are looking at. Thermal does not produce high resolution images, and species recognition is all about practice With the xm30, the maximum DETECTION range for a roe deer size target is around 1500...
