Hi all, new member here and after some advice. I've been using a nite site wolf with lots of success for about 18 months , but I need a spotter and don't have the world to spend on it. Its for fox control so need some decent distance. I've seen I lad advertising on eBay called Damien 'digital night stalker' item number 222379033113.
Looks like it might do the job, but does anyone on here have an opinion on them? Thanks in advance chris

I would personally go for one of Dave's (Someblokes ) spotters about the same Money, but with Dave's you are getting a Genuine Kp&c E700PUB camera
and not a E700 Clone always be wary when it say's E700TVL there loads of em on the Bay of Evil.

Also Dave's you can field swap the batteries should you need to

Also that looks bloody heavy especially with a built in T67, you only need a T38 or T50 at the most. i could go on, but i think you have enough info for now.

i'm sure there will be some more good advise from others on here.

I don't usually comment on rivals gear, but if you want to pay more for a spotter that keeps going out of focus while zooming in way too close to lose the Field Of Vision that a hunters spotter is best used at then go for the DNS one - which I'd suggest might be better for nocturnal wildlife observation than searching for quarry to shoot.

Most of us want a wider FOV to spot quarry - then use the rifle for better clarity while setting up and taking the shot.

My pistol grip spotters start at just £200 with a regular 'AS' IR pill in the T50 torch - or £230 with a highly rated Black Sun IR pill swapped into the torch.

I'm at the Eastern edge of Leicester city boundary if you fancy nipping over for a no obligation night time demo - maybe bring a friend too. The Golf club is too wet to drive on but I can park alongside the 346 yards flat mown practice range and just make out tiny bunnies eyeshine at the other end. Fox of course would be larger on the screen and we might be blessed with an appearance of one.

I've had two buyers come here to compare their £949 nightsite extreme spotter with mine: They both left with one of mine and sold their extreme.

Superb, thanks for the honesty, I was looking at the nite site spotter actually but as you've pointed out it's bloody expensive and I've heard mixed reports. I'd love to take the offer of a 'test drive' up soon just need to find a free evening , are there any evenings you can't do? Regards chris

I'd say ATM Sun, Mon, Tues and Wednesday should be dooable.

I might possibly be doing a part time taxi despatch job at the firm I used to work with as a driver. I say possibly because me and computers don't always see things the same way, and I've gathered a rep for folding android phones in half when they disagree with me.

The exceptional good moonlight night performance will need suitable timing - but the IR lit performance can be dependent on how dry the specific night is.

Next Monday night currently looks useful for reflected light pollution performance from light cloud and I may be dealing with another demo if you don't mind sharing.
