so i am building a digital NV using a crt viewfinder i got to work with a board camera from an unused security camera i do not know the model but the chip reads Sonix i believe( hard to read) but i found the pcb from the camera to big for what i intend it does not fit in to the tubes i whan to use for a scopeless build that is why i bought a mini drone camera ( chinese) the image will be far less then the other camera i used but i cannot seem to get an image on the crt it is supposed to be 5 to 30v i tried 5v and 12v but all i get is a black crt screen with white lines but if i move my hand in front of the lens i see some movement first i thought the cam whas broken but i hooked it up to my tv with a 5v powerbank as power source and i got a good image through the av channel on my led tv so tge camera defenitly works i tried a lot an cannot get an image hopefully soneone has ideas or the solutionthanx very very much in advance

Hi Aart,
Welcome to the forum.
So it worked fine with the old camera but not the new one? Does it still work with the old one?
Cheers

yes it all works with the old camera and the new one works when connected to my tv but not on the crt viewfinder ,i can't find anything on the net about the problems i have
Re: problems getting an image on crt viewfinder
Maybe the new camera has more lines than the CRT is expecting to see hence the garbled image?
Is there any way to set the output of the new camera to a lower video standard?
Cheers

Re: problems getting an image on crt viewfinder
yeah i whas thinking about that to, the cam came with an osd button so i will hook it up to my tv and change some settings it is a 700tvl camera ,i was also thinking about extra grounding and shielding the wires for EMI interference
