.................bumped into one of the local landowners son and his mate who were out shooting bunnies with air rifles and nv. We stopped for a chat, the lad's a gooden, always text's my mate when he see's a fox etc. His mate made me laugh, we was comparing nv and he asked about my lamp, I was using a RangerLite, he said "you want a laser mate them led's ain't no good, this will go 200 yards" so I switched it on

Needless to say that shut him up

Haha I went out with a lad with a Sony can the other week, telling me how good it was etc. 150 yards, there mint, might use it in my rifle etc.. Turned my tie wrapped up half an hour rush job on and BOOM daylight.

I passed him my Yukon spotter and he never got his rifle out the bag again.

Funny you should say that Adam.
Only the other day I was looking at some pictures Dave (I think) had posted and was quite impressed with how much smaller some of these LED's have become.
I hate bulk for bulks sake, so as said previously, give me one of a similar size as either an 808 (although in itself quite large) or a Genesys Horizon, with the same battery life and then I'll consider being a convert.
Given time I'm sure this will happen.
Anyway, finally gotten moved house, what a relief.

No I haven't tried them Adam but watching with interest especially those you mention, will be in as and when something catches my eye.
I don't want a large unit as the rifle plus night scope weigh enough as it is, I don't want big sticky out bits clamping on to my kit so watching for something compact that'll fit into one of those Burris Zee ring type mounts and it can stay mounted when flitting between farms and the kit is bagged up, it's coming I know.
The other thing is that with the Mars scope I don't need huge amounts of light, but a bit more for the PVS when scope mounted would be good.
Keep up the fiddling, it's nice to sit back and watch, the efforts of all involved are greatly appreciated.

try a t20 with a 940nm oslon in it.......if you don't like it i'll give you what you paid for it
