Hmm, white lenses are expensive, I can see serious money being spent here.

Torchwood wrote:The right adapter finally turned up today, mounted the samyang to my new ej230 rig. Well it's amazing. Clarity is exceptional in low light and with ir. Focal lenght of 85mm is spot on. I couldn't make up my mind between 75mm and 100mm. But this is in different class all together.
Aspheric technology. Not many lens manufacturer use this tec. Well I have to say it's worth ever penny. Over the moon.

Down side.

Now I have a eos to c mount adaptor, this has opened another door for my fettish. Canon mount lenses

I don't class myself as a hoarder but I rarely throw stuff out unless it's broken. Hence I still have my Canon EOS600 (35mm film) camera outfit including a Canon zoom EF 35-70 1:3.5-4:5A and a Canon zoom EF 70-210 1:4 which is a one touch slide in/out zoom. Are either of these any good for NV?

All lenses can work in daylight, but for low light photography, you would need a lens with wide aperture to let the light in. Both lenses have smaller aperture than required.

What I use is around f1.4. Yours are around f4. In order to get a clear image you would need to throw a lot of IR, two or three t20 should do it for 100 yards max.

If I was you, I would sell both lenses and get this samyang. Good for general photo work and perfect for night vision.

For those of you that wear glasses.
When you go to optician and get a new pair. First thing that hits you of the clarity of every thing. It was just like that after mounting the lens, although I have some very good lenses, but this one blow me away. The clarity is exceptional even at long ranges.

 Congrats on the Samyang. I am green with envy. Hopefully Monday will get here and we can see what you filmed.
I love this country; it's the damn government I'm afraid of!
