How about stolen equipment or Pikey watch exchanging details of dodgy vans 4x4 lurking about at night?

We are extremely fortunate in having an absolutely brilliant librarian as one of our members (take a bow Radagast  )
However, his excellence merely covers up the fact that the search function on this board is crap.
Rather than any new subforums, how about sorting out the search function to make it usable for mere mortals like me.

Cheers

Unfortunately no phpBB forum has a decent search function....thread titles can often be easier to find using google

Hi Bruce totally agree with you about our search engine it is crap, ive compared it to a few other forums that i visit and there are far better search engines.
If members could give us a rundown of the best forums for search functions i would appreciate it,that way we can hopefully sort something, and yes Radagast certainly is a credit to the forum for his librarian work and it is very much appreciated

Yes thats the problem we might end up sacrifising things like a good pm system or other board functions, think it will be a case of weiging up the pros and cons of it all.

Yes it has proved itself as a good system just a shame we can't improve the search facility,John is on the case so you never know he might come up with something we can perhaps incorporate to the board.
I have had a good mouch on other forums and ours is not the worst by any means.

Geoff
