I'm still waiting to play with samyang. The adaptor turned up. A bit anxious to see the 85mm in action.

I have tried the Zenit 85 f1.5 both as a futon with the rear lens removed and as a spotter with the rear lens in place.
This lens has no focus or aperature adjustment. I can print some parts to adjust the f stop. I am leaning towards using it on a night use game camera with a laser trip system at about a 50 yard distance. Other than it being focus critical and no f stop it performs well. It rates almost as good as the 100 f1.5.
Let me know about the samyang. You seem to be two up on me.

Samyang is here, looked through it in daytime, good contrast. Will have go tonight to see the difference between them.

I've got a 75mm f1.3 VT TV lens here with no focus, this one does however have adjustable aperture Don't know what it's off but it has a peculiar left hand thread mounting

The right adapter finally turned up today, mounted the samyang to my new ej230 rig. Well it's amazing. Clarity is exceptional in low light and with ir. Focal lenght of 85mm is spot on. I couldn't make up my mind between 75mm and 100mm. But this is in different class all together.
Aspheric technology. Not many lens manufacturer use this tec. Well I have to say it's worth ever penny. Over the moon.

Down side.

Now I have a eos to c mount adaptor, this has opened another door for my fettish. Canon mount lenses
