The only problem with asking what sections people would be interested in, is that we've had our fingers burnt with this in the past. If you recall, we were asked for Falconry and that wasn't frequented. Same happened with the Craft section (knives, catapults, sticks, etc).
As we've said, we're not looking to compete with the likes of Airgun BBS. A lot of us may not agree with how it's run, but it caters for the airgunner very well and has a huge following. (We do feel that this forum has pretty much killed their nv section, however
We also know that there's plenty of members on here who own an air rifle. Not all might be using them, but most of you fellas have probably got one (or two) in the back of the cupboard. As an example, I think that H had one that had resurfaced recently and he was looking for some answers on getting it up and running correctly.
I'm personally, as is Geoff, liking the springers at the moment. I would say that over the last, let's say eight years, I've had 100 pcps. I've had from the best that money can buy, to the worst. I've taken lots of nice springers in deals, and when I say nice, I mean Venoms and the like, but I've always moved them straight on.
However, as I don't use an air rifle on a regular basis, I now feel that the springer fits my needs. When I want to use it I can. Don't have to worry that I've a seal leaking air or that I forgot to get my dive bottle filled. Still love pcp's though, and if I was using an air rifle a lot, I'd have one here.
As Declan says, we all have forums that we frequent. I personally check Airgun BBS, The Hunting Life, Pigeonwatch, The Stalking Diectory, Weihrauch Owners, Airgunforum.co.uk and UKVarminting, several times a day. I have shooting interests that lie in all of these forums.
The air rifle is a valid, competent hunting tool, of that there's no doubt. For those of you who don't hunt, it can still give you lots of pleasure at the range, or plinking.
