Any chance of a list of the above when starting out with NV....

Would hate to spend 2or3k only to wreck it out of ignorance......

heres a man who likes a good list

nvd's are a bit like mogwai....keep em out of the light and dont get em wet

you can feed a nvd after midnight but dont try and take battery's out of a mogwai after use

Thats obviously a good rule of thumb, why not remove the batteries..do they bite

its not so much taking the battery out...its finding the hole to put em that they dont like....lmao

on a more serious note (for once). i always block up that little pin hole in the lens covers, dont trust em

if you're using a powerfull i.r dont point the nvd at the floor as that can damage the tube

to be a little more specific. what are you looking at getting, dedicated?, addon?, digi?

Its looking VERY much like it will be a PVS 14 add on ftted to my 22.250, which at the moment has Swaro Z6 2x12 on it, which i hope will be suitable, but not the end of the world if its not...
Been reading that there may be issues with heavier recoiling rifles is this true....

Ps i knew Mogwai does'nt run on batteries,just did'nt want to say incase you did'nt know he is real

My advice would be not to listen to anyone

Have a read up, ask plenty of questions, and try and get to a NV meet.

Your eyes, your wallet, and your needs will be completely different to mine or anyone elses.

For example, I have yet to see a dedicated tubed device that sparks any interest remotely, but there are plenty of trustworthy and experienced shooters who swear by them. They just dont do it for me.

The best advice I can offer is TRY BEFORE YOU BUY

My advice would be move house closer to one of the members who have replied to your post,or many others that haven't yet
