Xenonics SuperVision Question??

Iv just got hold of another Xenonics SuperVision hand held spotter.
For those who dont know what they are, here is a link.
http://www.xenonics.com/SuperVision/
Its a digital spotter with 4 X zoom and a very good 1280 x 780 near eye display.
I first got my hands on a supervision back in 2006 when these were leaps and bounds ahead of everything else.
Sadly i sold the first one and then the prices went sky high (at an over priced $1,500 US dollars)
But they still out perform any digital spotter iv seen on the market with a near eye display.
Now i want to upgrade the front lens to a 75mm tv lens. The stock lens is about 2 X magnification.
The problem is the C mount thread is deep into the housing and a normal C mount lens is to short to screw in?
My only idea is to fit a M42 adaper and lens. The M42 to C mount adapter needs to have a longer thread on the C mount side.
I did see a supervision converted to have a C mount lens once, but have no idea how it was done?
