Well gents, we'll know in the morning if the SNP are running the country or not. If they are ......... well ............ stand by for disaster, confusion and haemorrhaging of money to Scotland ( and anywhere else they can spend it)

Read today that tories are going to give Scotland complete power over spending and taxes and end the Barnett (?) thingy
It's also said this is to kill off snp as once funding is cut from England Scotland will have a HUGE black hole to fill either by cuts or taxes.
Do you think Sturgeon has maybe pushed her luck too far ?
Do you think she'll have to help get more oil up to cover the gap

Unfortunately first past the post has meant they have a disportionate number of seats in relation to their vote. Only half up there voted SNP and yet they won just about every seat. Glad I dont live there any more I would be "seeek" if I did. Basically the west coast mafia have taken over the country, Pheonix will probably understand what I am saying. And it looks like the 50% who didn't vote for them are going to pay the price.
Have to wait and see if they did us a favour or not as it obviously spurred everyone on down here to vote tory. They were queueing out the door here at 7 in the morning to get their vote in. Nothing like a bunch of nationalist zealots to galvanise the mind.
Not sure any politician is worth voting for but I suppose we got the best of a bad bunch. Hopefully they wil stick to thir promises and scrap the Human Rights Act and stick two fingers up to all the other crap EU regulations. Not counting on it though.
Best laugh was the Green Party, so glad to be voted in again. Everybody I know who lives in Brighton hates them but there you go theres so many wackos living in Brighton it shouldn't be a big surprise they got in.

My own view on this last election (In England ) is that the pollsters really cocked things up.
Had they given a more accurate indication as to what was going on prior to voting day things may have been very different, due to the fact they told us the Labour and Conservative were running neck and neck I think a lot of people voted to keep one party out sooner than voting for the party that really appealed to them.
A bit of a farce really.

Re: All over now, just got to wait and see !
It struck me as odd that a party, the snp, would publicly state they were going to disrupt life in England so much. Why would you do this at an election. It's almost as if she wanted everyone to vote tory
She more or less said that if labour got in then she would make England subsidise Scotland even more, and scrap trident, and open the immigrant floodgates again
So why would she do this ???

I'm one of the 50% in Scotland who did not vote for the SNP and I would like to put on record my sincere thank to all you sensible English folk who voted the Conservatives back in.
It really doesn't matter whether the SNP has 56 seats and labour has 232 seats, or if the SNP has 1 seat and labour has 287 seats -they are part of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition to a Conservative government which has a majority in the House of Commons and can therefore govern without giving a monkey's toss about Nicola Sturgeon and her loony lefties.
Cheers

As a disillusioned tory voter I went with UKIP in full knowledge that although they would not get any power they would give a massive slap to the others for not standing up for GB LTD as much as I want them to.
I think its fair to say the slapping has had an effect and the first salvo of scrapping the human rights of foreign scumbags have been fired. Hopefully more of what Europe has dumped on us will be fecked out too now that Conservatives have a free hand.

Well said mate I am with you all the way. As for the polls being wrong I am inclined to believe they were probably right but like the earlier post many people bottled it and voted tory as a result of the threats from Sturgeon just prior to the poll in the very real fear that labour would be forced to join them.some bloke wrote:As a disillusioned tory voter I went with UKIP in full knowledge that although they would not get any power they would give a massive slap to the others for not standing up for GB LTD as much as I want them to.
