999 members, and counting...........

Well, fellas, we're almost at our landmark figure of 1000 members in just over twelve months. Pretty good going, I'd say.
To put this into perspective, Geoff and I personally vet all applications for membership to the forum (we don't always get it right
). As I conservative figure, I'd say that if we allowed absolutely anyone to join (spammers, etc., who don't always look like spammers), we could have some 10,000-20,000 members. There are some days when we deny up to 100 memberships. But, we feel that doing the vetting thing manually, we manage to make sure that it's the good guys who get on and not the baddies.
This year to date, our forum has had over 4,500,000 hits, with almost 1,500,000 pages viewed. We hope you'll agree that's no mean feat for a SMALL forum which is pretty much dedicated to one subject.
With your help and input, we're sure that the forum will go from strength to strength and stay the friendly, informative place that it is now.
A very merry Christmas to you all, and thanks again for all of your support.
Thanks also to our forum advertisers, without who's fees and faith in us, Geoff and I would probably be in the debtors court
A big thanks also to John (sir hank) who works behind the scenes to keep the place running and sorts out all of our software and hosting issues.
Cheers!!!
Geoff and George
