Decisions decisions

Post by Gloop » 12 Jan 2013, 17:02

Inside the fire is burning nicely and there is loads of heat coming from the woodburner. The weather outside is, well, not so nice.

Now do I drag my ass out or crack open a bottle of wine.

As an aside I have finally mounted Marky light and could do with testing it. :D

I'm afraid at this time of year me aging old body tells me to stay in, never used to feel the cold when I was a few years younger but by hell I do now. :lolno:

I was going out with the other half playing driver/lamp girl, but after having a good tea, her nodding off on the settee, it raining and being bloody cold, I ain't going anywhere now.
Just going to slob about and wait to see how many millions I've won on the lottery, yeah right.

Well just got back. 7 bunnies and 1 Charlie. A lovely evening for a walkabout.
Had a few problems with Markylight. Think I blew the fuse on my connector. Will check tomorrow. So didn't,t get a good chance to see how well it compares against my Archer. My bad!
. But I can say that it definitely needs to get the battery pack up on to the rifle. More testing laters , well there will be if it is only the fuse I have blown.

Now to continue with my celebration cider. Apparently it is going to snow tomorrow here.

That was well worth a look out then, Declan.

I'd planned to go out, but after sawing and splitting wood all afternoon I succumbed to a lazy night on the sofa

I'm much the same as you Adam, after spending five days a week freezing me tates off, the last thing I want is to do the same of a weekend.
Sometimes I get the urge to venture out but it doesn't take a lot to get me home again once the cold starts to penetrate.
I will be going out in an hour or so to try my new fox caller (£40 off ebay) got a load of more relevant calls loaded on it, hopefully better than a "Lesser Spotted Burmese Wonga Wonga Bird" or whatever it came loaded with, we'll see.

I'm off out this evening to meet up with 'Redeye Jedi' off this forum to hopefully deal with a feral pigeon problem.

Young Mr Jedi should be using my 'spot-on' rig, 850nm 1W IR/ahorton lens kit on his 4x40 WTC scoped rifle, firstly with a pv110 DVR and then a Lawmate for comparison purposes.

I'll be using the scopeless rig with the JXD990 and a 5W 940nm four die IR module. (I only have one 850nm module).

If all goes well we'll have a couple or 12 vids to show. :P
