I'm sorry it's come to this but................

Post by Marky610 » 30 Jan 2013, 20:12

................I'm out of here.

All I've done is try and help but now I'm being accused of profiteering so enough is enough.

We've reached the pinnacle of diy nv so there's nothing left to discuss just the same old questions every time a new member joins.

All orders are on hold as I need to take a brake

Be sure to thank 'some bloke' but according to him you don't need them anyway just fit a bigger lens

Every one has a right to have their opinion, right or wrong. This forum is the frontier in digital night vision and illumination.
I'm new here but before I join I was watching mark on utube, he has a lot of input for us newcomers. From this we are all learning. 25mm or 16mm has their own place for the individuals. So there is nothing to be abset about anyone having their opinion.
I had done a lot of photography in the past and I know how much light get through by playing with aperture. Some bloke is spot on with his observation. Lets take that on board yet with mark's torches we would have so much that can satisfy any fox shooter.
This is all about sharing our ideas.
Before all this I was thinking what a fantastic forum, everyone so helpfully, group buys and all the ideas spilling into forum.
Lets grow up and really get stuck in.

Mark,
I would be sorry to see you go. Your one of the regular posters who have helped build this forum into what it is. And the fact you are now making some money? Well why not? If I could then I would, but I just don't have that intelligence. And to be fair you have shared vast amounts of information and have helped loads of people out.

Regarding the nothing else to talk about? Well I have to say I now spend most of my time in the chatterbox and hunting sections as I have the kit I need, for the moment :wtf:
Maybe we need to expand (and this is my personal view only) into other areas such as developing the hunting or experiences sections to retain members who have got up with the kit they want?

Give it some time, remember we are all different and there are plenty of people who will annoy us and hopefully there will be more that will continue to give us a laugh and become friends with.

Where has Marky gone. The place would not be the same without him. If it were not for his Youtube videos. I would not even have known about this forum.

I will be gutted if Mark is serious about not coming back. Who here could step in and fill his boots. When I say that I mean who here will put so much time and effort into making video tutorials. investing his own money into products to test them, to let us know if they are worth investing in for our selves.

No one springs to mind.

Any Volunteers.

Bugger.

I'll be really sorry to see you go too Mark! You're one of the stalwarts on this forum and have never been slow in coming forward with refreshingly sensible, straightforward and above all, good-humoured advice. I've had quite a few laughs along the way.

I......We..... have learned a lot from your posts and YouTube offerings..... Not least how to bloddy solder! A skill that frustrated me for years...so easy when you know how.

I don't know who or where the profiteering accusation came from but from what I've seen it's totally unjustified and bang out of order. You might expect grief from your workplace but not from what essentially is a hobby. You wouldn't be buying a second home in the Bahamas on converting Maglites n building Mk4's in your own time!

I hope you'll reconsider... It won't be the same without you.

Ok bit of an over reaction, should have seen if the ignore button was sufficient

Had a real shit day at work yesterday, been in the garage all day when I didn't feel like it then had to put up with Mr Broken-Record

I need a bloody rest so my pm's are staying disabled for the time being and I'll visit but probably not post much.

Anyway you lot don't need me that bad there's others here just as clever as me but not as funny or handsome.
