Unfortunately i cant call meself a machinist, just not enough practice
Although the sentiment still stands. Give me a decent selection of junk and i'll make something thats needed out of it
A pile of mixed steel stock and the junk in the yard/workshop gets turned into all sorts of repairs, mods, and cool workforce multiplying gadgets and doodads
No matter how advanced tech has become there still needs to be somebody somewhere elbow deep in grease making bits of metal stick together, but not stick together too much!
Or just plain beating on stuff with a hammer
