Intro and NV spotter repair

Post by Paul Cat » 15 Jan 2019, 16:25

G'day folks.

As a brand new NV shooter (I started using a Pard NV007 only two weeks ago) I thought I'd poke my nose in.

While I'm here can anyone suggest a repairer for a Night Owl NOXM50? It's not the most expensive piece of equipment out there but having only used it half a dozen times in two years I'd like to see if it's salvageable before consigning it to the bin.

TIA

Sorry, but you won't find anyone to repair your night owl - bin job I'm afraid

Cheers

Welcome to the forum Paul.

You might find a future use for the lens so maybe get that out before you dump it. Dunno if the near eye viewer can be salvaged too if yer a good keen patient fiddler.

Cheers some bloke.

There's an update. Last night I fiddled with it, changed batteries, wound the eyepiece in and out, wound the lens to both extremes of focus etc. I wound the lens too far and it came off. After putting it back on the unit worked perfectly which is a bit of a mystery. I'll not complain though.

Thats my sort of repair. Twist it, tap it, change battery and fingers crossed. :)
