Will be in Scotland in May. What are the must see spots?
I love this country; it's the damn government I'm afraid of!

For history -Edinburgh Castle plus a shit load of other castles all over the place
For booze - Whisky distilleries everywhere
For scenery - The NC500 route and anywhere in the Highlands
For Golf - St Andrews
For the best accommodation- Gleneagles Hotel
I'm sure my fellow Scots on the forum will be along with their suggestions.

Cheers

The five sisters of Kintail (...no,it's a hill range!), around lochs Rannoch, Earn or Loch Tay ( the back road on all of them is lovey, but choose your time carefully), Oban is v good for seafood, Speyside for distilleries and Glenlyon, Deeside for scenery, Grantown to Knockandhu road, Glenlivet and Strathdon, all depends what you are looking for, Mull is nice, avoid Skye! Aiberdeenshire for windmulls :lolno:

If you’ve got time might be worth thinking about getting on a train ......for example, the Fort William - Mallaig route will take you through some stunning scenery.....

I go up to the West Coast around Oban every year....stunning!
