Anybody recognises this type of NV?
Anybody recognises this type of NV?
Hi there NV fans,
does anybody know which type/model of NV is this?
does anybody know which type/model of NV is this?
Re: Anybody recognises this type of NV?
You would increase the probability of getting answers by providing all info you have on the device. And more pictures. Also if there's some text besides serial in the places you've blacked out.
It seems to have some kind of dovetail so I assume it's for head/helmet mounting. Maybe also some kind of interface to fit two devices together for stereo view? The objective side looks kind of big, maybe there's some kind of doubler mounted and a protective filter? Some aviation NV from Eastern block maybe?

Re: Anybody recognises this type of NV?
Not sure from the pics but it could be a kite NV , which I think is an old military unit , jim
Re: Anybody recognises this type of NV?
Hi keeperjim,
thanks for your comment.
As I was told it was supposed to be old military issued.
Do you know where I could search for models and try to identify the one on photo?
It uses only one AA battery.

Re: Anybody recognises this type of NV?
Looks like a Kite to me check first pic here https://www.google.com/search?q=kite+ni ... YEXjOVbKsM
Re: Anybody recognises this type of NV?
There's resemblance but the details do not match any of the Kite pictures I've seen.
Re: Anybody recognises this type of NV?
Hi , the kite units I know of use 2AA batteries and there is a twist switch to turn the unit on with the option to switch it the other way ,which provides a ^ style aiming point hope this helps , Jim
