Took bloody ages trying to figure out how to convert the dwg to stl, then the hinge had to be moved so everything was in a positive axis. FFS. It's been about 15 years since I did any cad work. Trying to remember the commands. Phew. Got there in the end. See what the quote is like tomorrow all being well. That is provided I managed to do the dimensions in mm and not cms.
Still, has to be easier than trying to understand electrickery.

quote is £10 plus vat per piece and I need 8 in total. 2 pieces makes 1 hinge, need a nut and bolt. Whilst that would be ok for a trial basis I may try to talk to a machine shop I know to see what ideas he can come up with.
Damn and blast. what happened to a couple of pennies per piece.

You do well to re-think, Declan. You may have to wait a while before you make your fortune

Yup, not a viable way of manufacturing. I have thought of a different way of doing it, but back to searching the web for a few days to see if I can get the bit I need. At a sensible price.

Well. Hurrah. That's what I say. After hours searching the web looking at every type of hinge available except what I actually want. Actually not quite true. I did find a marine one but it was slightly larger and £25 each so not really viable.
Anyhow, the solution was staring me under the nose. Might need a bit of grinding but that is all. Should be able to prove the basics by next weekend.
Phew.
Just thought I would share that with you.
