Hello from Norfolk.
Hello from Norfolk.
Hello to everyone.
I have been using air rifles on my permission for a little while now and have no come to the point where using night vision for hunting seems to be the next step as the Rabbits have become very weary of lamps and rifle scope mounted torches with filters.
So I looked at purpose built night sights and think they are very expensive. Then saw a few homemade night vision scopes on YouTube and thought that I would have a go at building my own, as I love little projects and I also like the idea of saving quite a lot of money and getting similar results.
I will be looking into older posts to get a more informed picture of what I will need to get started.

Hi Digger, yep get diggin mate.
There is some magnificent stuff going on here and more than a few build instructions and shopping lists that will suit any level of Blue Peter ability. Old is good, so is new.
If you have a spare rifle then dedicated gets better results because it hardly needs any IR so it's generally more covert if you do your bit. But it's not swappable between rifles without re-zeroing like an add-on which will give your presence away a bit more because it needs more IR.

Thank you for your warm welcome.
I have made a small dent into the reading of old posts, there is plenty threads to inform me of what is what and will give me an idea of what I will need to form a budget, as I have no idea of costs just yet. The links that are put up are very helpful.
