hi, just got myself what I think is a good deal, (please feel free to put me straight lol)
my first air gun, BSA super ten ,with scope red light ( ledray) carry bag plenty of pelits for the bargin price of £250 with all receipts and proof that it is below 12fp,
along with the gun I have got myself a sony camcorder, as new fully boxed ,model number is dcr sr32 with night mode it has a standard battery and an extra life battery, and I paid just £40 from a facebook ad,
I am hoping to start up ratting as stated im in Coventry and would like to meet chat to anyone local with the same goal ,
I have just emailed a guy on here to buy one of his t20's thinking it will help with the night vision setup I will use, please feel free again to speak up with your thought's,


I have made a temp fitting for now, with items I had at home, and am a little shy to post a pic because of it, but here goes !

Hi mate welcome to the forum.
As a shooter in the Coventry area its good to have fellow members close to home.

Not trying to put you off,
But if your new to shooting then get some practice in before you go shooting live quarry, Even rats need dispatching humanly.
Also farmers dont like perforated sheds or livestock.
Practice Practice Practice and then once your comfortable shooting your new gun you can think about going on a shoot.
When you get your first shoot you will be able to keep it with a good reputation for a safe shot that gets rid of the farmers rats.
As soon as you do a good job for one farmer it will lead to many more shooting opportunities.

If you make one mistake or cause any damage on a farmers land/property and you wont get your foot through the door anywhere else, the jungle drums get going and iv heard shooters have been black balled in areas and now they have to travel 30+ miles to there nearest shoot.

Iv been shooting 25+ years but i would never take a new air rifle onto a shoot until i knew exactly where my shot placements were going to be a different distances.

m8, its why I have joined here, I fully understand what your saying, im 48 years old and still happy to listen and learn,
I have no intention of just shooting and hoping to hit something, I practice most days at home,
would be happy to tag along with a few shooters and leave my gun at home, the last thing I want is to be a liability, or the guy that just missed the target,

good lads on here mate, harmony in the cottage so to speak. Good choice of gun , reliable /accurate, sounds like you got a deal with it, I have the s10 + rapid 7/12 , personally I don't think theres a lot between them but theres some who swear by one or the other. Welcome once again
