I got out for a bit last night with the iscope on the back of the NV, I must say I'm a little disappointed,
The iPhone struggles with the brightness & whites out a bit unless I turn the aperture to almost closed,
I also didn't have much room to mount so the eye piece was a bit distant
The image that I could see without iscope was loads better, same old story, early days I guess I need a good play

The rabbits are at about 50\60 yards, lowest mag is X6
Archer Gen3 D grade on the back of a Ziess 6x24-72
I've had another little play again when I got back from work & couldn't fit it directly too my Ziess scope, my Leica Geovid BINOCULARS or my mate's MTC Viper scope

It fit on my Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x50 LR

I removed the iscope & could see the targets really clear & easy to shoot still

It looks like it works well with the scope in daylight. Are you used to shooting with a screen and is the iPhone screen big enough? Does it loose focus a lot and do you need to keep tapping the screen to regain the best focus?
The archer one with the rabbits I thought was pretty decent, they certainly looked easy enough to shoot. Do you mean you need the image with the archer brighter or darker to not get the white out with the iphone? Looking at the dusk shots it looks as if the iPhone needs twice the light to get the same image as the scope alone.

Could be the camera in the Iphone has an IR cut filter which would reduce it's sensitivity to IR.
I have no idea if it can be removed

this is the first time I've shot with a screen, the screen is big enough, although I would have liked the whole scope image to be larger & not as much black surround,
I didnt need to refocus, it sort of just done it without tapping,
shooting the clays, the iphone just seemed to lose its control, it was struggling to focus & the auto light adjustment, there was hardly any time between the first & last shot but the iphone lost the ability to control it, the clays were still very visible with the naked eye & the scope on its own,
yes I could have made the shots with the Archer, again the iphone's auto light adjustment was the biggest issue, normally I can have the aperture wide open on my rifle & my spotter & flood the area with IR if required & get nice bright sharp images with no blurring or white out, through the iscope if I used the IR I had to close the aperture down to the smallest setting to be able to view anything, I felt the image then lost clarity & depth

it certainly has something that stops it seeing what I can see, maybe I should try some still photos as well

I see what you mean about the phone being a fair way back, I didn't realise it stuck out so far back. I guess that's something to do with the day scope eye relief. You might find you get a better camera pic with the likes of one of Dave's modified 501B's than the fire fly if that was the IR you were using. It's not much bigger and gives off a nice clean light.
