I know you shouldn't, but you just have to.

Looking out the patio doors , early evening, and spotted a fox just meandering around next doors garden. As luck would have it I had my Air Arms .177 in my hands as I'd been shooting buds off the walnut tree  The fox looked at me and just carried on wandering slowly around, sniffing here and there, and generally treating me with contempt :x

Well, it had to happen didn't it. I put the scope to my eye and zeroed in right on the end of his tail, I could see daylight through the fur so knew there was nothing meaty there. (Bear in mind I'd just been shooting buds off a tree at the same range so knew it was zeroed)
I squeezed the trigger and let one fly.
Flippin eck, foxes can't half accelerate  Straight through a privet hedge without backing off

It's tempting :o but wrong.
I regularly shoot in back garden, bait it for rats, I used to get a lot of foxes at night and that was doing my brain in, they were taking all the baits and defficate on the lawn, Since I got a Yorkshire terrier, I don't get them at all, just hedge hogs now, and I don't mind them. Only the dog shits all over the lawn. :D
Rats and mouse don't mind the dog, that a blessing.

I have permission to shoot in both neighbours gardens so no problems there.

Marky, that's what I thought, it was just too tempting  . Don't know what the fox thought was tapping the end of his tail but he wasn't hanging around to find out

No harm done, no laws broken and a good laugh

Nice one thought I'd point out just in case someone thinks it ok to shoot on other peoples property without prior consent
