I feel like a newbie !

Post by captaindan » 03 Nov 2014, 20:36

Hi all,
I have been gleaning wisdom from your posts for quite some time now and even added the odd comment, but a realisation that I have not really formally introduced myself dawned as I read some recent posts by one or two likeable blokes.

My name is Darren, I live in Wigan, Lancs. I am 47 and have shot from being young, first with the usual BSA Meteor, which I know Everyone has had at least one of them. Then into shotguns and finally FAC. I have a small shoot in Yorkshire which I run along with a couple of old friends, pheasants and a few ducks/geese.

More and more into rifle shooting although not targets, more field shooting bunnies etc and the odd fox.

Away from the field I fish and follow Wigan Rugby League as well as running a local allotment society and my own small bearings, power transmission and engineering company. So god only knows how I find time to get on here. :D

But I would like to thank everyone on here for their selfless sharing of knowledge and information, it genuinely makes a difference.
If I can ever help, bearings, seals, engineering ....... ping me !

I have a photon, not the XT latest model, but an ace tool and through the advice and assistance from lads like Marky610, am getting some really good results with it.
As I get further into NV, I am sure things will get more expensive and the toy cupboard will grow, but for now I am looking at getting the best from the photon.

No doubt I will have questions ( and hopefully some answers ) as time goes on,
Cheers Guys

Darren
I may not agree with you, but I will defend your right to say it !
