It's the current version which has the 'beeline' facility which allows for the angle of shot, a great feature particularly for LONG range shooting. If you've not seen this facility before you should really have a look at it regardless of whether you buy mine or not

The LRF Professional range is designed to deliver a variety of highly accurate distance measurements with the press of a button. It has been ergonomically constructed to fit comfortably in your hand with easy access to both of the mode control buttons.
Its range finding capabilities include: distance, height, height difference and angle. The LRF requires a 3V CR2 battery and will automatically turn off after 15 seconds of no operation to save power.

Measures the straight line distance to the target you are aiming at.
Beeline Mode
Measures the horizontal distance to a target.
Height Mode
Measures how high an object or target is in relation to the range finder.
Angle Mode
Measures the angle of projection (to the nearest half degree).

Measures the vertical distance between two points.

Used this a few times in the field when out with my air rifle. Indispensable, saved me a lot of guess work and more time on the trigger. I also use it when I'm out hill walking to measure distances to attack points (waymarkers). A must for any shooters amateur or professional.
