I would be interested in the dimmer switch if its the new rotating one and you decide to sell things individually please.

Thanks for the info, i did wonder why Nightmaster were selling the neck section with the dimmer. Do you know if you can change the IR led in the neck section to one of Clives BS NM800 pills and still work with the dimmer ?

Best have a word with clive the new nightmaster pill is loads different than the old pill, new one is held in by a locking collar , old one was threaded

I asked Clive about converting mine to an AS led the other week.... he was happy enough just to switch the star for me but, thinking it would be a piece of percy, I just got him to post me one up.scirroco wrote: Hi br

The original star came straight out once I'd de-soldered the leads as the thermal paste was obviously non-setting and it looked like it was just the wires being twisted in the back of the pilI that was holding it in place. It was easy enough to get the Berquist star to fit with a bit of filing down to the right diameter but the solder on there was a bit of a pig to get it to take...... of course that could just be my soldering 'technique'
I didn't touch the driver as it looks a bit non-standard compare to all the others I've seen it the past - bigger diameter but the improvement over the original led is noticeable as it is so I'm happy with that.
Either way it works.
With these variable units the battery bears directly on the pill's spring... you need to remove the disc in the end of the battery tube.

A correct grip on the butt & cheekweld is imperative for accurate shooting.
