I have one of the older style rangefinder that can be mounted to your weapon.. Like new, never used and still on the box with pouch and instructions...

And when I say side mounting...the ris clamp is held on by two Allen screws which can be swooped to bottom or both sides of the rangefinder depending on where and how you want to mount

There are two side RIS rails that can be removed and the mount can be replaced to either side of the rangefinder
