Some bloke No-Scope rig *SOLD*

Post by some bloke » 10 Sep 2014, 12:27

Now I have a supply of battery/screen pods again, here is another No-Scope rifle sight.

It is offered with a choice of two lenses/prices.

The Cosmicar F1:1.4 75mm TV lenses are now getting very expensive to source: I now have to buy most from USA - and pay a hefty customs fee due to the way ebay now completes USA purchases. To those who are unfamiliar with these lenses, they are the very best option available for this type of rig at rimfire ranges. They are all used and will usually show usage signs.

This is basically the same build as these with some refinements, no external cabling of any kind and the rear vents of the monitor are enclosed:

This is how you can expect it to perform in reasonable moon and cloud conditions:

EDIT:
For anyone who feels OK to use an illuminator more often I can supply it with a cheaper 50mm SLR lens and adapter.
This option has an image size that is about comparable to a 3.5~4 mag scope - making it suitable for subsonic ranges IMO.

About £120~£150 onwards with the import charges and shipping if you get it from USA.

You make a very good point rod - thanks for raising it.

I suspect much of the surplus Cosmicars have been rounded up by us lot.

There may be readers who don't, can't or won't grasp the finer merits of using the expensive better performing Cosmicar 75mm F1:1.4 TV lens: It does its job with no IR more often, taking it closer to gen 2 tubed kit which costs a lot more. It's also less susceptible to barrel wobble that is found in cheaper lenses, especially the economy CCTV lenses that originate from China.

I will supply it with a cheaper 50mm F1:1.8 M42 SLR lens and adapter at £340 for people who don't mind using their IR's more often - suited to subsonic ranges at 'about 3.5~4 mag'.

Sold and ordering another EJ230 because I only make one of these at a time due to the lens prices.
