1 k pots for VF-c2 viewfinder ( brightness adjusting )

Post by CustomRifleScopesUK » 26 Feb 2015, 21:28

Hi guys,

Ive accidentally ordered the wrong type 1 K potentiometer's for my project, these ones work on the VF-c2 viewfinder so you can adjust the brightness
without relocating the buttons on the viewfinder circuit board, you just have a 1 K pot located on your DIY unit. They have a D type rotary knob, this is the part where you stick your knob on ( that didn't sound right did it :lolno: ) and a 6 mm shaft for your hole ( that also didn't sound right :o ) so if you want one, they are £2.26 for 1 on ebay but all i want is £2 for 2 with free delivery, im not going to do 1 for £1 as the post will cost too much, not worth it !

They work well on the viewfinder, i just need ones with a different head to fit my knob.......oh :wtf:

So just pm me if you want one.......sorry about the puns yuk !

The red wire that goes to the screen from the board needs to be cut, then solder one end of the red to the middle fork then the other to one of the outer forks.....depending on which way you want the screen to dim.....IE, do you want the screen to dim or go brighter clockwise or anti-clockwise.

The other two forks that are on their own are a momentary switch that you don't need to use !

Quite easy to wire up.

so if you want them then PM me.....thats to you too Toni !

I've got the brightness spot on at the moment on my broom. If I fit this would I set the brightness to full on the view finder prior to installation?
