Another 'some bloke' 'scopeless' rifle sight with an EJ230 camera inside. This is no ordinary EJ230 - it is a 'some bloke' EJ230 with the obstructive (for us) rear mounting spigot faced off for easier access to the joystick. The front of the housing has been turned off to make it fit more lens variations. The plug and play cables have been cut and hard wired so the camera no longer qualifies for the manufacturers warranty.


Buyer supplies the two BUTTON TOP 18650 batteries - I never supply batteries or chargers so no blame claim lawyers will be knocking my door if someone does something wrong.

Buyer fits a 50mm C mount lens for subsonic range - or a 75mm lens for HMR range. Shown here with a 50mm F1.4 C mount lens.



Three grubscrews are fitted in the outer 'C' mount tube to aid matching the POA to the POI with a central crosshair by moving the bullet camera tube inside the c mount tube that carries it: Use the grubscrews for the rough zero then fine tune the crosshair with the camera joystick.
This has absolutely no external cables running to battery packs etc and the monitor vents are enclosed inside the pod, it is a totally self contained unit and is intended for air rifle or rimfire use. If the buyer decides its not to his liking it doubles up as a great spotter, the crosshair can be removed.

These 5" monitor devices are the only NV displays that do not cause me any eye-sting.

It can be used in a head up position - or a head down cheek weld position with the monitor about 10 inches from the eye, an earlier version is shown in this photo:

At typical subsonic range it rarely requires an illuminator to be used to spot then stalk up to your rabbits and sometimes even take the shot: Though there will be periods of very dark when an IR has to be used - and periods when you can see several hundred yards without an IR.

Few NV users using add-on rigs can imagine the covert capabilities of this rig at subsonic ranges without spending several hundred pounds.

I normally shoot on 8x mag with a day scope. Roughly what size lens would take it to 8x mag.

I think a 105mm lens would put you in that ball park, I have a 2.8 one here.

How much would one be with the 105 lens?

I can supply it with that lens and the M42 adaptor at £350.

In your experience how much will the larger F number affect the performance? On the 105 lens?
