Steerable C mount E700 camera lens adaptors.

New in are these Steerable C mount lens adaptors for spotter builders using CINE TV lenses here:

These are broadly similar to the older type - apart from they are now supplied with longer screws slightly further apart so they can be 'AIMED' with the E700 camera fitted in position, a longer inside flange and a thin O-ring round the neck:
They can be fitted flush to a panel/box without the O-ring, or:
If used with the O-ring on the rear flange they can be screwed up to the O-ring - then further tighten required screw(s) to tilt the camera and lens towards a floppy head torch IR beam centre with a slight pivot action afforded by compressing one side of the O-ring. That of course leaves a slightly uneven gap around the edges of the lens mount, but the O-ring seals the joint.
16mm KPC E700 camera's will need their neck cropping by about half so it doesn't foul the inner barrel of the lens getting close enough to the camera sensor to achieve infinity focus 12mm E700 cams maybe short enough already but its a good idea to trim them back a little too, so that the metal neck is deeper or level with the inner base of the adaptor.
You will use the remaining part of the neck as an alignment guide to tack the camera body to the rear of the adaptor and inside of the box using glue or silicone sealant left overnight to cure, so do not remove all of the neck. There is little or stress or risk of a strike to the camera in a box so a little silicone will stick it in like shit does to a blanket - but a clear effort to remove it will be possible.
