Used on .223 for fox work over last winter and first part of this year.

Boxed and complete with all items except the roll of insulation tape. No battery.

Bayonet sleeve is the 45mm long version.

Great for long distance fox shooting, put the scope on 3 or 4 times magnification and enjoy the magnified image through the Pard. It's probably about 12 X magnification when set on a scope mag of 4.

Makes a great spotter as well, very small, lightweight and with an adjustable dioptre!

No damage, scuffs or scrapes and works perfectly.

Hi Robbie, it's neither. This one has the 25mm lens. So better suited to very long range shooting or low magnification scopes. It makes a very good hand held spotter, much better than the 12 or 16 mm versions. I've used all 3 versions, but for my use now the 16mm is the one I'm keeping. John

Do you have any more info range etc and was the lens change done by CRS?
I am guessing it's no good for up close work

Yes, your right, it would be no good for close range stuff.
Too great a magnification and narrow field of view.
Also it probably does not focus as close as a 16mm or 12mm once behind a scope. No problem with close focus when used as a spotter at close range though.

The range it has is no different than the other lenses, the only difference being the size of what the unit is looking at through the scope is much bigger.
Imagine looking through some 8 x 40 binos and then comparing to a pair of 10 x 40's.
How far you can see at night is down to how much IR you can throw out there. But because you can get away with using a lower scope magnification with a 25mm lens Pard, it lets more IR through the scope lenses. So the same power IR torch will illuminate further out on a 25mm lens than 16mm lens Pard when you've turned up the scope magnification on the 16mm Pard to see the same size image as what the 25mm Pard does on 3 x magnification.

As far as I know Pard did produce a few 25mm lens versions with firmware to suit. This unit came from CRS as a 25mm version. I have the receipt. Ashley at CRS would be the person to ask about that.

Scope used was 3-12x50. Most of the time left on 3 or 4 magnification.
I used it for fox, shooting between 100 and 200 yards.
I would imagine you would be ok down to 50 yards. It would depend on background features. Shooting over an open field with no reference ponits would be difficult due to narrow field of view.
If you know your shooting ground well, then this is less of an issue.
