Considering: 'that can help spot Charlie coming in to the caller'

So are you looking for one that is primarily going to be brought up to and kept at your eye and in your hand - or one that would have a bigger 5" monitor that you view at say arms length with both eyes - and that you can place on say a car roof or bale etc?

I still have some parts left to build one of these but without the magnetic base. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19892

A tripod that will convert to a handle will be supplied with the stubby handle instead. Note the monitor has a trailing cable that can be flipped off the rear of the unit and trailed into the car/ hide etc.

It can be supplied with a 50mm lens that relates to about 3.5 mag on a scope, or a 25mm TV lens that will have about double the field of view: Would need to be specified with the order as they would not be made interchangeable. In fact it could also be made with a 12mm or 16mm board lens that could subsequently be fitted with longer board lens options if events render that a preference.
