I forgot to tell you to let him know which battery you use, and ask for the reflector to be left loose so you can black and focus it.

how much does the end cap need moving to gain focus? is it the 4mm as ive heard about before?

You can only usually get maybe 2mm~3mm adjustment with the standard lens.

I prefer to have mine slightly out of focus towards the LED but the reflector shape won't allow any more light to be picked up by making it closer because it obstructs the outer portions of the LED half angle.
