I have a 008 from Ash at about that time but not a group buy.Why specifically one of the group buy if you don’t mind me asking.Richard.

The very first few batches that landed here are noticeably better compared to the ones that became readily available with serial numbers etc.
I’ve bought and sold quite a few trying to find one that’s as clear etc.

Yes, when they switched to the Sony screen with the P model, it isn't has clear as the Earlier grey Import models, I have one of each and the older model is much clearer and the reticle is nearer to scale as well.
