As a lock down project this had hours spent on it, having a few small scratches and a minor dent removed, rubbed down then walnut oiled a few times and then a final 6 or 7 coats hand rubbed in. The chequering was just cleaned and then re-oiled. As I recall it's had at least 10 coats altogether. The stock has a lovely smooth finish.
It was never refitted to a gun and has been sat in a cupboard since.
