My old bones find my bulky KwikFit rig too awkward on the door mirror bracket of the shooting truck these days so I'm looking to slim things down with a 30mm tube type day/night rig. I've been headlamp or red light lamping for some time with the HMR but fancy getting back to a bit of NV on the rifle being mostly used on the mirror as per this video.

Not much bothered about a LRF but won't let that issue cloud a decision. I will want the device to be able to record footage - with audio to show the farmer and maybe gain more permissions.
I don't shoot in daylight and an add on will still see me struggling to rubber neck so considering a 30mm tube ring mount rig that I can mount a 940 IR torch to. I'm initially thinking either a C50 or DS35-50 or 70 will fit the bill but may consider other suggestions.
The athlon is barely used and will come in its box. The black tape is there for my add on but will be removed before sale. I'm open to a bit of cash either way if needed.

Been chatting to someone elsewhere about a wulf 4K swap.
I've had a quick search on here and it don't seem to be all good reading, could anyone rate the wulf for me please?

Many thanks Bruce - and he wants too much cash for me with it anyway.

As it seems the car 'A' pillar won't interfere with the rig on the door mirror bracket I'm coming round to the idea of adding cash for any one of the Arken Zulus - and may sell my Athlon separately for a decent price.

I've now gone off the idea of fitting a high above the barrel mounted Arken Zulus - or any other high mounted box type NV that seems to me would change the relatively flat shooting HMR into a loopier trajectory.
I'm now restricting my search to 30mm ring type rigs that have their objective bell almost touching the barrel maintaining the point and shoot aspect seen with a bunny being a similar size in the viewer and my roof mounted thermal spotter 7" monitor to forgiving range estimations at 70~100 ish yards.
