Let me be very clear - the thermal specification is quite old and not as good as found in more recent or expensive thermals available.... which is why I call it thermal spotter/quarry finder. It'll find something warm that warrants steering a shooting truck towards: such as Rabbits at 200 yards, adult Fox size at 350 yards or Deer at 500+ and safety wise an adult human. It'll save holding a hand held monocular out the window of a truck and its not waterproof.
The imaging signal is not wifi with the accompanied lag - its the same no-lag radio frequency system that is used for flying FPV Drones. I mount the magnetic camera unit just in front of my sunroof but it can be used near a window or a roof rack for the driver or gate bitch to reach out and manually pan and tilt. It has a plain rear cover (seen under the spare batteries in the photo) or a 5" screen that allows it to be used by hand too - unplug it to avoid draining the battery or being seen from behind the truck when not needed. There is no cabling needed to power it nor to connect to the 7" monitor inside the truck.
The 7" monitor's internal battery failed: so I've silicone rubber glued 18650 battery holders onto the rear, and incude 6 spares. The battery holders can be cut off if the buyer elects to use a 12 volts cigar lighter socket. It has a record feature but note the radio signal transmission is effectively white noise so there is a radio chatter and occasional intereference to be seen and heard, probably from low altitude aircraft approaching EMAP on any videos made.
Feel free to come to East Leicester for a demo - I won't be offended if you compare the image to better thermals and decline to buy it.
£750 collect only so you see what you are getting and how to use it... Also advertised elsewhere. Please PM me if you have replied.
Here is a very quick demo video of the unit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNWJ1UzZq_4
