Starlight archer grade B

Post by markpykett » 28 May 2014, 19:28

Hello all I'm thinking of selling my Archer grade B and replacing it with a longbow. It's under a year old and in great condition. It cost £2500.
So I'm only going to sell it if I get any sensible offers.
Or if you have a longbow wish to give me your views that would be much appreciated .

Regards mark

I would stick with the archer it may not give as bright an image but you can use higher magnification and wont have to suffer the horrible reticle In first focal plane. also the longbow I use does not have the most positive fixing of the eyepieces and looses zero I think because of this . imo they are grossly overpriced for what you get. atb tony

I agree about the longbow being overpriced.

hi,
had an archer and thought it was good then I got a pvs 14 and imo it is the best gen3 tubed add on so the archer was sold. still got a longbow but tbh I have a drone and in these dusky summer months it is far superior to the longbow as it can be used in any light. had my doubts at first but now trust it 100% and have taken a few long 230+yd shots and so far no misses. I also think the longbow is over priced and now after shooting a lot of foxes using the drone I think I would opt for the drone over the longbow. as for the archer, ditch the firefly and get a ir torch and the picture improves a lot.
