Hydraulic press wanted

Scouring ebay at the moment for a hydraulic press at realistic money. Needs to be 20t + and preferably floor standing. Cosmetic condition doesn't matter so long as it works fine and doesn't leak oil everywhere.
Anyone know to anything ?

How much is realistic ?
Is 20t a minimum or will 20t max do?
I'll keep an eye out if I have some idea.

Some new (20t) ones here but don't know if they're what you want.

Cheers buddy  At least 20t (lost the use of a 200t one) I've seen some about such as the ones you link to Chas, from £194 delivered. I would sooner go with a used one of a more robust build to be honest, the cheaper ones can flex.

Trying to haggle some down on ebay that have no bids. Would like to be around the £200 / £250 mark max and that includes fuel to collect. We don't use one enough to pay more, but desperately need one now and then :(

Hello etc.
I know of a few big old hydraulic press unit that are for sale just west of Swansea, I will get you a telephone number if you want. Owner is semi retired in his mid seventies and he has been selling off his machinery for a while now, lots of old pre-war big fabricating kit and tools.
I know there is/was a 100 ton there and if I remember correctly a 200 ton beast that might weigh a good 4 or 5 tons at a guess. Would be a lorry with hiab job at the very least. If you want me to follow it up I can shoot passed and take some photographs in the middle of the week. Regards Phil

Wow Phil, 4 or 5 tons would be just too heavy for us to manoeuvre mate, good of you to ask though. Ideally looking for something we can collect in lwb Tranny or on a trailer. 200t would be nice (just lost the use of one of those) but just too much to move.

I suppose realistically up to about 50 / 75t is as much as we could manage. We have to site it in the unit and space is limited (too many toys)

Thanks Rodp.
I will call passed and take some photograps anyway, there are hydraulic folders, fly-presses, guillotines etc. The owner just stopped taking on work and finished the few men that he still had working for him, his workshops are just left in a state of limbo. He was from your part of the country years ago, he used to fabricate very small towable diggers either "fab------- ? or -------fab ?" was told can't remember" Phil

OK cheers for that  There was a bit of a boom in the mini excavator line a few years ago, then the Chinese cottoned on and that was the end of that  I suppose he's just run his course, had enough and wound down. I know the feeling

See if you can get prices off him (or phone number), may be interested in other stuff but to be honest we're really stuck for space.
