Hi, My Name is John and i am New to the forum (as i am sure you have all probably guessed already)
The honest truth of me joining the Forum, i have to say, is shameless commerce, in that my father passed recently and i find myself with some night vision gear that i can not justify keeping and feel it would do a lot better in the hands of someone who would make full use of it, i do hope that this does not offend anyone.

(not entirely sure i added this correctly, however please let me know.)
Given that i know the square route of a ginger biscuit about these, other than i can see in the dark with them, i have plagiarized an excerpt from another website that i feel would adequately describe to you guys what i have, so here goes....( it does not describe the additional lenses that i have and the IR lamp, but a little research will describe these also. Forum rules dictate the first 'Ill take it' gets them, payment should be made by paypal please. I have these advertised elsewhere for £2200, I would like now, for a quick sale £1750, this would include shipping, tracking and insirance. i can say these are in as new condition as i only ever saw them out of the box when my old man had had a drink and for a maximum in total of 30 minutes. They certainly have seen no hard use, or been out of the box for any length of time. All the paperwork is available in the packaging also. I might possibly entertain trade offers, however no guns please. I am also a knife collector and have far too many torches anyway (considering he also collected these amongst everything else)
You can now purchase night vision binoculars made by the same company that builds them for the US Military. The consumer versions are so good in fact, that you cannot buy them if you’re outside the US or for export.
ITT’s Night Mariner products are designed for use on work boats, pleasure craft, barges, or wherever it’s really wet. Night Mariner can help improve safety and nighttime navigation by enabling boaters and captains to see other craft and buoys, navigate through narrow waterways, and be prepared for unexpected trouble on the water. These products can also be a real asset to businesses and individuals that depend on efficiency and safety on the water.

Night Vision technology consists of two major types: image intensification (light amplification) and thermal imaging (infrared). Most consumer night vision products are light amplifying devices. All ITT Industries Night Vision products use image intensification technology. This technology takes the small amount of light, such as moonlight or starlight, that is in the surrounding area, and converts the light energy (scientists call it photons), into electrical energy (electrons). These electrons pass through a thin disk that’s about the size of a quarter and contains over 10 million channels. As the electrons travel through and strike the walls of the channels, thousands more electrons are released. These multiplied electrons then bounce off of a phosphor screen which converts the electrons back into photons and lets you see an impressive nighttime view even when it’s really dark.
