Home made spotter c/w on/off switch , osd controls on the side , 50mm f1.8 lens , 135mm f2.8 lens , 700tvl board camera , c mount to m42 adapter , runs from 2 x 18650's , there is a scratch on the sensor from when i removed the filter

but the only time you notice it a lot is if you are looking at something really close , if you want a cheap spotter just to leave in the truck this is probably ideal.

What sort of distances are you seeing with this spotter. I know things vary a lot depending on the conditions but just a rough idea will be helpful. Thanks, Rob

It depends on what lens , ir source and as you say what the conditions are like but 100 yards and more should be ok

That's a good offer John. Just the lenses and adaptor works out over £50.

Meant to post this before.
The spotter arrived and was exactly as John described it. He made me aware of the scratch on the lens and even offered to take it back if I wasn't happy; can't say fairer than that. It's already seen a bit of action when I'm out shooting with other people; if I'm on my own I just use the rifle with the add-on NV. I do like the fact that my shooing partner can watch through the spotter or the screen on the rifle and get involved in the action. Great fun.
