Re: Home page
Thank you for the feedback - certainly very much aprreciated
Thank you Chas for the screen-shot - certainly very handy to see what is happening to some of you as I have not been able to reproduce the fault on any of my computers ...
I do suggest you make sure you are running the latest version of your browser - not just to help clear the fault but to help keep your computer secure ... updates often repair security leaks that have been reported and also, as Silent Shooter suggested, refresh your browser to clear stale caches ...
If you need help with refreshing your browser check this website :
http://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/
I have changed the format of the graphic files as that should help ... I am also in contact with the slideshow programmer and should get a response very soon
Please keep the feedback coming as they do help
Thanks everyone

Re: Home page
When I logged in the slide show was displayed as 8 boxes down the side of the screen. Refreshed cache and now it is a single slideshow in the top right corner, still twice the size of the fixed adverts and current moon box.
BTW the info for refreshing cache for Firefox on the linked page is very out of date.

Re: Home page
Thanks for these feedbacks
I had a reply from the programmer and he states:
"Unfortunately because it requires css3 styles it will not work on older browsers, these will see all the images"
Which again stresses the importance of keeping your browser up-to-date ...
Another problem programmers etc have is more and more people are using their phones and tablets etc so websites and forums etc need to 'move with the times' to accomodate the shift to phones and tablets etc ...
The latest version browsers are working towards making the websites etc easily viewable on all screens irrespective of size so, unfortunately, unless you keep your browsers up-to-date then you will not get the benefit of the new improvements and will suffer bugs such as this multiple ads show
I will be looking for an alternative method that is more compatible with older browsers ... I have been told that I can do this by using Javascript but we will then have another problem as some people switch Javascript access off on their browser so they will see multiple ads (or even just blank spaces)
Will keep working on finding a solution - my own preference is to keep browsers up-to-date so I can use CSS3 code which is better and faster that older CSS code ...
Thanks for listening - I would love to hear your views about this

Re: Home page
Have just 'cleared my cache' (whatever that may be).
Prior to this I had the boxes 1-7 down the right side.
Now back to normal!
Had to re login but that's o.k.
Ken.
