Loads of my very PC aware family have tried and rolled back Windows 10

But one swears by it. Never tried it myself because I'd hate to throw another out the back door.

Well SB I use Win 7 and would not want to upgrade to 10 and lose yet more control over my destiny, however in this case rolling back is not an option as the PC tower unit is for someone else. Have you got any E700 to M42 adaptors up for grabs while think of it. Did any one see a Lancaster over the Mall today - probably not pc any more.

I have got to ask, what is a water zorb and especially a vacuum bubble used for. No, your having me on you naughty boys. I knew some of you were getting bored so I invented a scenario to make you think. Pure unadulterated two dimensional tosh which is what we are all being currently fed by the media in my humble opinion. Trouble is once you're trapped in the bubble the various media psycho babble starts to work to undermine your beliefs and values. It is true I do live in a cave.

More seriously, have any of you guys built your own desktop/tower PC 'system' and installed a new virgin unadulterated SSD as the main drive for the operating system - in this instance a new Win 10 OEM DVD and used a new unadulterated virgin HDD for other things including installing games - typically steam or some such as well as your photos and other important information. The problem I'm having is in reading conflicting instructions from various forums that tend to contradict one another. One camp says install both drives connected and boot from disc to SSD (no problems just follow the instructions) and the other camp says disconnect HDD and reconnect after installing windows to SSD and let the operating system recognize the HDD which it should do upon boot otherwise the second drive may become corrupted by default during installation. I would welcome any input from you chaps because you tend to find ways around things.

My first PC experience was XP and I now have W7 pro - hated the change at first but its grown on me lol.

Dave, am looking at your viewtopic dated 07 Dec 2015. Is this adaptor currently one and the same available now - silky smooth black anodised aluminium round bar stock block with shiny threaded 1/4 wit insert and a bit of weaver type rail attached to the round. Body threaded on the face with two metric screw threads. If so then I would like one - nice shiny handle as well?

Generally its like trying to get blood out of a stone with you lot. Gunnies just don't seem to have any imagination - totally fixated with the target. Tunnel vision has set in - no passion d' ya c. Come the 23rd I now know we'll all be buggered. Addendum. Today is the 24th and I just got my country back. Some of the credit has to go to you guys.

They're silky smooth Black Acetal - and I tried to the point where I felt I would damage the lens to strip the thread - and failed.

They are seriously strong and you will never scratch the black off one - apart from the anodised mini weaver rail.

They and the handle are in stock.

Hi SB, been offline for a bit. Does the Acetal block have the same metal type insert (1/4 Wit) and the screw threads in the facing as well as the Weaver block 'bit'. So pretty much identically machined with insert except for material. Have always been a bit uneasy about Delrin, however the Sure 24 resin adaptor seems pretty solid and very very well machined - is yours up to this spec? Better give me a price for block and handle or pm me if you wish. You could always send me one on approval of course - I pay postage from and back (registered) and if I don't like it and providing the block and accessories are unadulterated by me you get it back just like on ebay.

The only metal bush is the 1/4" 20 tpi tripod bush because it's in quite thin material to keep the adaptor diameter reasonable (the older ones were larger and heavier) All other threads are into the Delrin. Made to a very pleasing high spec - I'm a fussy buyer. Feel free to do up all threads tighter than you feel needed for the job they have to do.

I too was initially concerned about Delrin but I'm quite heavy handed and totally confident about the fixings - and its significantly lighter with no need to over engineer it: Bear in mind their requirement is to accurately locate and carry the modest weight of a lens and/or a torch - and survive an occasional handling knock. If you want to use one as a rock climbing grapple then don't buy one.

I'll happily send you one on 14 day return approval but I have had recorded mail go missing so use RMSD please... On condition you write what you think about it as feedback on the sales thread - warts and all.

The price is shown on the sales thread - and don't forget to consider the magnet mounting option if you might want to use it out a sunroof. The magnet stud is M6 so it has an M6 bush in the base of the handle.
