"but like i say, i'm a tight arsed tinkerer" :P

I think all who sell can make them for less than half of what we sell them for too or it won't be much point doing them.

Elliot, get yaself building something mate, it's very satisfying and cheaper to build something at least as good as what you need (or want) :D

Get looking wayhay back in this section.

of course mate and i inderstand that some people would rather pay for someone else to do the work.....well i DON'T understand that tbh lol.
if its something i can do or learn to do i'm far too tight to pay for it to be done for me.

i'm the same with my bikes and landrovers....i have never had a garage fix anything for me. i'd rather stay in the workshop till midnight after work getting sommat sorted than pay out a 100 quid to a garage. LMAO

at one time on here if a fella came on and asked how to get an illuminator. just about the only answer he would get was "build one mate"
and i loved that
it werent bad when mark was knocking out his maglight conversions for 50 quid but i think ians lamps are too dear for what they are too
(see i'm not just picking on the mighty 501b lol)

i'm deffo rambling now so i'll wrap it up

No worries Adam, I see where you are coming from.

It's a fact the IR build and conversions have now changed course and cheap Chinese conversions have flooded the market to near saturation.
That's not a good base to build a business on in my experience.

It's that long since I've sold a 501b build I'm thinking of dropping my signature and brand loyalty to join the gang for the brief duration it lasts now just to clear some of my driver stock. At least I won't have to spend winter at the lathe in the shed. :lolno:
